Hello again!
Josh Jordan here. Pastor of Neighborhood Church in Mesquite, a little church that focuses on people who aren't comfortable in a regular church setting. We had a great Thanksgiving with our friends in the neighborhood. Hope you did, too.
Today I'd like to announce that we have small group Bible studies starting soon. We'd love for you to join one of them. We're planning on hosting one group for adults. This group will probably meet every other week, though we may have to take a break in February when the baby comes. The other group is for teens. We expect that it will mostly be for teen girls, and that Anessa will be the main leader, but we're open to teen boys as well. (For those of you who don't know, my wife Anessa is a high school art teacher and an amazing lady.)
If you are interested in visiting or joining one of these studies, please let me or Anessa know. You don't need any experience in the Bible to join. Just come with a willingness to learn, and an openness to what God might be trying to tell you through His written message.
You can reach me or Anessa on Facebook. You can also email me at neighborchurch@gmail.com or reach out to me on Twitter @joshtjordan.
God Bless!

Next Worship Service October 20th
Please join us at 1216 Quapaw Trail in Mesquite for our next worship service. This will be much less formal than other services you've been to at other churches. We will pray, there will be a short sermon, and we will hang out and enjoy each other's company.
The service is at 6:30pm on October 20th. We plan to have these meetings once a month. We also have regular church-wide game nights, and we plan to start small groups soon.
Come join us, especially if you don't have a lot of recent experience with churches. We try hard to make things as comfortable as possible for non-churchy people.

Welcome to Neighborhood Church!
Neighborhood Church is a new church in Mesquite near the Creek Crossing and Indian Trails subdivisions. Everyone is welcome to join us for our first worship service on September 15th at 6:30pm at Pastor Josh Jordan's house.
1216 Quapaw Trail
Mesquite, TX
We specifically serve people in our area who have no regular church or who find most churches intimidating to visit. If you have a regular church, you are welcome to visit us, but we are particularly looking for people who don't really have a church to go to. If that's you, consider yourself personally invited! We plan to meet monthly, and this Sunday is our first meeting.
You don't have to be a Christian or a clean-cut person to join us. We teach salvation through Jesus Christ just like any evangelical church, but we don't expect you to have everything figured out BEFORE you even come to church. Don't let your race, accent, religious background, neck tattoo, disability, or anything else stop you from meeting us, and, hopefully, making a personal appointment with God.
The Jordans have served in church plants before, but this is their first opportunity to lead one. Josh is a licensed Southern Baptist minister who has also served in non-denominational, E. Free, and Fellowship Bible churches. He has a ThM. from Dallas Theological Seminary. Anessa is a veteran art teacher at West Mesquite High School.
If you would like to know more about what we believe, the best way to get your questions answered is to ask us in person or to email Josh at neighborchurch@gmail.com
Thanks for your time and attention. We sincerely hope to see you on Sunday.

Who Are We?
Pastor Josh Jordan and his wife Anessa are bible-believing, evangelical Christians. We also happen to be Protestant, Calvinist, dispensational, and missional, but we don't expect people to understand those four words, unless they are already bible-believing disciples of Jesus. The Jordans have served in church plants before, but this is their first opportunity to lead one.
